Hark the Gerald

A WEEKLY WORD FROM THE REV.

How often I hear Christians say, "Well, it's a shame that the earth is an abominable pit of noxious evil, but what can you do? It's just life."

Not any more! Finally you have a chance to change all that, by joining the second annual March Against Badness. All those who seek the Lord's face, and those who have found it, will be coming together to declare to the world that wickedness is wrong and sin has to stop.

As we wave banners, sing hymns and smile serenely at passersby, Satan's citadels will crumble and the strongholds of the enemy will be shaken. Actually, they'll be shaken first and then crumble.

If you care about bad things that happen, and would like to see fewer of them, come along at 11 am on St Homobonus of Cremona's Day (13 November) and take part. (Sorry this is such short notice, but I've been a bit busy. I'm sure that everyone that the Lord wants to attend will be able to.)

The main march will set off from Trafalgar Square, arriving in Lewisham about teatime. Don't worry if you can't make it to London - just do the march wherever you happen to be. That way it will be a truly nationwide international affair, and its effect will be all the greater.

Last year's
march was
a great
success, but
we are
hoping for
a better
turnout
this year.
