Ned Flanders: fandiddleriffic!

Flanders lookalikes wanted at Greenbelt Festival

The search is on to find the best Ned Flanders lookalike.

Ned, Homer Simpson's next-door neighbour in the long-running cartoon series, will be the focus of a tribute night run by ship-of-fools.com and fish.co.uk at the Greenbelt Arts Festival at Cheltenham Racecourse, UK (8.30pm, Saturday 25 August).

"Let's admit it – we've all got a green sweater and salmon pink shirt somewhere in the wardrobe," said Simon Jenkins, editor of ship-of-fools.com. "It's time to dust them off for Ned Flanders Night – as far as we know, the first of its kind in the world. Prizes and fame are guaranteed for the best nerds... er... Neds."

  • Ned Zeppelin – a tribute band fronted by shipmate Dave Perry with a special guest appearance by Rev. Gerald Ambulance
  • Ned's Gadgets for God – a chance to drool over Flander's fave religious "collectarinos" with your hosts Simon Jenkins and Steve Goddard
Ned Flanders Night is sponsored by ship-of-fools.com and fish.co.uk, Christian Aid's web portal. The event will be hosted by ship-of-fools.com editor Simon Jenkins and co-editor Steve Goddard. Time: 8.30pm, Saturday 25 August, in the Cabaret, Cheltenham Racecourse, UK.

Comments Steve Goddard: "As Ned might say – it should be a belterino, okily-dokily?"
